Join a panel of filmmakers and cultural trendsetters to discuss the efficacy of instating an Australian National Film Day.
Speakers:
Debbie Zhou, a producer, lawyer and arts critic. She was selected as a Screen Producers Australia ‘Ones To Watch’ in 2022 and has held a number of roles across business affairs and production at Matchbox Pictures. As a film and theatre critic, she has written for publications like The Guardian and The Big Issue, and appears regularly on ABC Radio Melbourne and Sydney.
Anna Broinowski, a filmmaker, writer and rock violinist who likes to explode cliches about the East. She toured her bilingual play The Gap to Tokyo, and uncovered Japan’s queer, drug and Otaku subcultures in her first documentary, Hell Bento!!
Cassandra Chloé is a Sydney based actress, film art director, singer and dancer. Her work as an art director featured in Vogue Italia for young talents to look out for. Her singing career spanned over a decade touring the world representing her country as an ambassador to Canada with studio recordings credited double platinum. Cassandra has recently been seen on the big screen during the Inner West Film Fest in Places, Please! She is currently working on a thriller titled LEECH.
