An anthology film centred on man’s (and woman’s) often complicated relationship with their best friend (of the four-legged variety), LIFE’S A BITCH tells three stories where the canine is king.
To please Cecile, Tom agrees to adopt her dead neighbour’s Chihuahua. Actress Greta is crushed. Her dog and her assistant both died, run over by a bus. Franck and Lola fall in love at first sight. They have so much in common, except Lola doesn’t like dogs.
Three intertwined destinies, three stories of humans and their dogs, LIFE’S A BITCH cannily proves that films about animals aren’t necessarily the domain of Disney. Filled with riotous laughter, rich characters, and bittersweet sadness, LIFE’S A BITCH is a movie for anyone who’s ever loved (or even just patted) a dog.
“Occasionally, a film comes along that’s a riotous good time. Belgian director Xavier Seron’s third feature Life’s A Bitch is just that.” –– Paul Risker | DMovies
